Site terms and conditions of use

About us

The Family Adventure Project is a family run venture. The Directors are Stuart Wickes and Kirstie Pelling. We’re a husband and wife team keen to share our experience of family adventure and inspire others to get out there adventuring. We are not doctors, lawyers, travel agents, tour operators or professional guides, rather parents with a sense of adventure and a desire to be in touch with other active families around the world. Our websites www.familyadventureproject.org and www.familyonabike.org are a means for us to do this. If you want to know the nitty gritty legal stuff governing your use of these websites, then here it is. But there’s much more interesting and inspiring stuff to read elsewhere. Honest.

Adventuring as a family can be risky and before making any decisions or acting on any information contained on our sites, we strongly advise, indeed recommend that you consult with your doctor and/or other appropriate professionals and ensure you have properly assessed the risks and consequences of your plans and actions before executing them. We recommend that you never rely solely upon any information or opinions you read on-line, including ours. Instead, use what you read as a starting point and research thoroughly getting professional guidance, advice and training as appropriate. As always, you are ultimately responsible for your own and your children’s safety and security.
